Where to begin? We are two forty-something sisters ~ Sharon and Amanda. We live very near to each other, in small towns north of London. Sharon is a stay-at-home wife, and mother to almost-17-year-old twins; Amanda shares a home with a friend, decided not to have children but is a fantastic Auntie, and has a number of strings to her working bow!

We are ordinary women; we have very modest housekeeping budgets, we look after our own homes and Amanda in particular leads a very busy life.

In recent years, we have both become very much more aware of the impact we each have on the environment. We have also come to the realisation that to change the way in which we live is down to each one of us as individuals ~ we cannot simply rely on someone else changing things for us, we have to be there doing our bit as well. As a species, we humans are doing immense damage to our collective home, planet earth, as well as to the local environments in which we live. There comes a point at which we as individuals need to take responsibility for our own actions. We have both now reached the point where we strongly feel that it is time for us to stop talking the talk and instead start walking the walk.

We would like to share our experiences with you, and for you to share your experiences with us and the other members of the forum.
